Library Cards
How do I get a Library Card? Obtaining a library card is simple. Just stop in and fill out a registration card. You must show a valid picture ID or other proof of residence, a driver’s license, or a printed check. If you are under 16, you will need a parent or guardian to show the proper ID and sign a statement of responsibility for you.
What are my responsibilities when I check out library materials? When you get a library card, you sign an agreement to return library materials on time. You also agree to take care of library materials so that they are in good shape for the next user.
Where do I return materials? When the library is open, you can return materials to the circulation desk or the drop box. Make sure videos are rewound and in their proper cases and that all audio cassettes and DVDs are accounted for. Please do not put videos in the drop boxes as it damages the case.
Does the library charge a late fee? Yes, the library will charge a late fee of 5 cents per day on overdue books, audiocassettes and magazines. The late fees for videos and DVDs are one dollar per day. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay the overdue, damage and replacement charges.
